RLM 71 on the topside completed today.  How exciting.

What's that in English?

A shade I would describe as "cowpat green".

And now the cowpat green has been joined by estuary mud grey (AKA RLM 02).

Looking good there Fred, the yellow bits really make it.

Glad y'all like it.  Next stage is to mottle the fuselage sides.  The colour scheme I printed out is unclear if the mottling is cowpat green or estuary mud grey.  I think i'll go with the grey.

Thanks guys.  I did consider replacing the fin with that from the A-37 but it seemed like it would require far too much PSR.

Masked it up and mottled the fuselage sides today.
I say mottled.  It's more of a fade.  I couldn't get my airbrush to do a mottle even with the #1 nozzley bits.
Still, it looks OK, it's a whiff anyway and it has shown me not to try and mottle with the airbrush on 1/72 aircraft.  In future I shall revert to a knackered old paint brush.

Decaled.

Decals are from an Academy F-104 G (for Germany) and are out of register.  I had to touch parts of them up with black.
