I maybe wrong but didn't Freightdog used to do a 1/72 4 blade propeller that could be used on a Avro Lincoln?
I haven't seen this for quite some time, as most publications make the mistake and say that the Avro Shackleton has eight contra-rotating propellers. It would make an interesting whiff.

Red Roo do a set of resin Lincoln props.

What's wrong with that statement, it does have eight contra-rotating propellers ----- two to each engine

It implies that there are only eight propeller blades. To be precise it should say that there are "Eight sets of contra-rotating propellers", at least as far as I read it  :-\

I would disagree Gondor, when you say a propeller, it usually means something with blades on it, IMHO.

I had one too when I was in the UK, it still had a propeller albeit one that cuts grass too.

Yes, a Flymo.  I used to use one when I was a kid.  The power lead got shorter and shorter over time...

Ah, the ambiguity of language.

A propeller consists of a hub and propeller blades. When talking about contraprops, is the entire assembly one propeller, or is it two propellers?

Would it be possible for you to cast the fore and aft nose cones of the BAe Nimrod AEW.3 in 1/144 scale as this would fit neatly in the range of 1/144 AWACS conversion sets available?

Not really viable unless there was an injection moulded kit to stick them on. Welsh kits are too expensive to chop up, and Anigrand do an AEW Nimrod already, unless you know about another kit on the horizon?

Nope its just McColm has no concept of commercial viability and is only interested in putting the lumps on other 1/144 aircraft kits he's decided hack up  :banghead:

That's correct, if someone can make a cheaper alternative to expensive kits out there for the Whiffer, the lumps and bumps, nose cones or even a complete set then I'm all for it. I might have a go myself, just to see how difficult or complex this really is or die trying :banghead:

First a suggestion: replacement radome for the FROG (and subsequent FROGspawn) Sea Venom.

And now a query: I saw in SAMI a while back that you were doing replacement noses for the FROG Javelin and Matchbox Meteor NF.  Pictures in the item too, but have not seen either on your website, Colin.  Was that 'fake news'?

EDIT: just seen the Javelin nose - apologies should've check the site one more time before asking.
