Aircraft Machineguns / Cannon by Era
« on: February 01, 2016, 01:22:46 pm »
I figure we might as well set-up a page which lists the following
  • Types of Ammo
  • Muzzle Velocity
  • Grains/Projectile Mass
  • Muzzle Energy
  • Re-fire Rate
.
I can find data on most of this stuff online, the problem I have is finding data
  • Related to exact model of gun used in a given era
  • Related to the exact ammo used in a given era (Early WWII: 1939-1942; Mid-Late WWII: 1942-1945; Korean War, etc) in terms of grains and stuff
The finer details in other words: The muzzle energy I can compute on my own, I just need accurate data

That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.

Some of these velocity and bullet weight figures look off...
