BAE Tempest - The return.
« on: December 15, 2013, 04:19:45 am »
After picking up the new HB YF-23 yesterday, I thought I would have another go at the BAE Tempest I built back in 2006.

For those not familiar with it, this was the original pic the model was built from.....

And this was the finished model....

This one will be done with more detail than the original as the first was in my opinion rather basic.

Work on this is done for the next few days, but I will return to it by next weekend.
Chris.

Cool ! Looks like a nice start...I like the way you have removed the -23 bits.

I sized up the same thing ( albeit in 144th scale using the Trumpeter kits ) and I couldn't really see it the way I had envisioned......

Nice to see it revisited Chris.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Your last build was the reason I bought the two kits to do one too Chris, it'll be interesting to see what you do with this revisit --- 'cause I haven't started it yet

Lovely, very much looking forward to this! I was Googling for another AvPro project when I found your original model, and I am much intrigued.
I find it very hard to believe Academy would make a mistake like that he said sarcastically...
