Hi everyone,

I don't know about you, but I'm definately looking forward to the start of the model show season. Freightdog's first outing will be Milton Keynes, and I'm hoping to have a few new items available. Currently those should be;

- 1/48 Freightdog 'German Jets Pt.I - RAFG Hawker Hunters' - F.4's of 3, 14, 20 and 118 Sqn. For Italeri/Academy re-issue and Aeroclub F.4 conversion parts

- 1/72 Freightdog resin Avro Vulcan B.Mk.2 Series 202 tail pipes (applicable to late 70's onwards, all tankers including XH558, but not Black Buck airframes)

- 1/72 Freightdog Hunter T.Mk.7 correction set for Xtrakit (nose leg, wheels, ejection seats and tail pipe)

- 1/48 Pegasus WWI German four colour lozenge (upper and lower sets)

- 1/72 Pegasus WWI German Maltese Cross Insignia decal sheet (re-print)

I should have another 1/72 Freightdog decal sheet (RAF Post War Collection Pt.II) available later in February. This will cover Washington B.1, Canberra B.6, Hunter F.4, Spitfire Mk.22 and Lancaster B.III from 'Operation Guzzle' (still in Dambuster config). More details once the artwork is finished.

All the above (except the 1/72 Freightdog sheet) will be available to order from my website around the 5th February. Not much for whiffing, but I do also hope to have a new batch of P.1154s ready in time for Huddersfield. Thanks!

Colin

Hi everyone, well MK didn't turn out how I'd planned (as I never got there!), but I'm really looking forward to Huddersfield. I don't have any new whiff stuff for the show unfortunately, the P.1154s will be done soon but I'm waiting for a batch of P.1083s from my new caster first before getting the 1154s (not expected before the weekend). My focus has been on getting a new Halifax B.II improvement set ready for the weekend to help pay the bills.

So see you soon guys!

Colin

Here's what will (hopefully) be previewed on hyperscale tomorrow;

Freightdog Models will be releasing some affordable improvement sets for the new Revell 1/72nd Halifax kit. Three sets are currently planned, the first applicable for the B.II being released this weekend, followed by the GR.IIA in early March, with one more to follow for the B.V series IA if there is enough interest.  Each set will include new engine fronts, three or four bladed propellers with blades moulded in place (the B.II set has three bladed conical spinners and Galley radiators), carburettor and air intakes, larger main wheels and a bay blank and correctly sized tail wheel.  The GR.IIA and B.V set will also include a new accurately sized and shaped H2S Radome.

The new engine fronts are direct replacements of improved shape but are slightly oversized in proportions to fit the Revell nacelleís, same with the props but shapes are greatly improved. We are trying to provide a relatively quick fix for all those put off building the kit looking at the shape errors. They will go some way to improving the kit without breaking the bank or making the build a chore. The alternative would be heavy duty surgery, beyond many modellerís capabilities or requirements for a nicely finished model of what is a superb kit other than a few issues mainly around the engines.
The B.II set will go on sale for £13.00 plus £2.00 postage worldwide and is available to order now, exclusively from the Freightdog website.

Not a whif until you make it one....... :wacko:

Colin, can you stick a couple of the Spitfire IX E wing blisters/pointy rudder sets to one side for me please?
I'll get them on Sunday.
