My brother Whiffers,
Yes, it's been a long, arduous journey, but here it is finished more or less to my satisfaction, and that really means I've completed the job and don't want to do any more work on this project. There's a lot wrong with it (and I've learned a lot about model making along the way) and I'd be grateful if you don't look too closely at the arrangement of the rear gun and the gunner's position.
You, my fellow Whiffers, have been wonderfully supportive as I've soldiered on doughtily with this model, encouraging me every darn step of the way acting as a kind of Sancho Panza to my Don Quixote. I've now been a Whiffer for 8 years and this plane will serve as some sort of memorial.
Here're the photos. And now to decide what to make next.
Allan (in gratitude)

That's a real show-stopper, Allan! I really like how the W.W. I rear-gunner position is complimented by your excellent woodgraining. Be prepared to get lots of kudos on this beauty!

That turned out great!

I had tried to reply on Monday but the forum would not let me for some reason.

What happened to your six engined He 219 project? I have been wanting to see what the finished model would look like.
