Another quest is for a photo of the original GAM-77 configuration with two aft-mounted J85 engines.  That was NAA's preferred configuration despite advances from P&W advocating the J52; just a few days before final competition submission the USAF told NAA to switch to the J52, after a successful run-around-the-back by P&W!


That's what irritated the Soviets so much about the 'military-industrial complex' of course..............
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
