1/72 Resin Vickers Armstrong Type 559 from Fantastic Plastic

Awesome looking aeroplane and an awesome looking kit too.

An equally awesome price sadly.
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Every time I look at the 559 I think one of the Vickers office bod's must have gone on to work for the Thunderbird's etc production team ?

Yeap. Only available direct. Bar the odd 2nd hand kit on evilbay

Although Fantastic Plastic produce their own kits, I fairly sure it's really a hobby shop. They import lots of other manufacturers products for sale. A lot like Hannants, or some of the earlier companies ---

I would like a type 559 though, there is something about them that appeals to me, both as a real world what if, and as a possible shado interceptor.

I saw the Bartini too. But the price is "a bit" too high for me I'm afraid.

An awesome looking aeroplane for sure, and as you say, an equally awesome price!

How does the escort fighter get back aboard the bomber in order to get home though?
